New Invoice Format
Effective 10/15, DCLI has updated its invoice format. This enhancement was made to better serve our customers. A sample of the new format is attached. Your next invoice from DCLI will reflect this change.

Hyundai Merchant Marine and Direct ChassisLink Announce Acquisition of HMM North American Fleet by DCLI
DCLI to Also Serve as Exclusive HMM Chassis Provider for North America
Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), and Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI), jointly announced today that DCLI has acquired from Hyundai Merchant Marine the HMM North American chassis fleet.
For our valued customers in the Motor Carrier community the purchase will have no effects on the current logistics schemes under which the former HMM equipment operated.
Equipment interchanges governed by CCM, Metro or HRCP rules will continue as before, as will relationships and interchanges connected to the TNWA pool in California, Tacoma and Seattle.
Invoices for all equipment interchanges gated out of the TNWA before and up to 12:01 A.M. June 28, 2013 will be invoiced by CNS, post 12:01 A.M. June 28, 2013 the invoicing will be assumed by DCLI.

Notice To All Draymen – Accident/Loss Procedure
If a chassis under your control becomes Lost, Stolen or Involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident, please contact 704-594-3759 or 704-594-3734 immediately. Be ready to provide the following information:

Date, time and location of accident or loss

Notice to all draymen regarding FMCSA
DCLI is currently reviewing the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) status for operating authority of motor carriers signatory to DCLI's interchange contract. If a company does not have a current valid operating authority, that company will be disqualified from interchanging DCLI equipment until such time as valid operating authority is restored by the FMCSA . We encourage all trucking companies to log into www.safersys.org to verify if your authority & insurance are current and valid, this will help ensure no issues with interchanging DCLI chassis.
Important Notice regarding DVER:
Federal Law requires motor carriers to report the results of roadside inspections to the IEP. A copy of the DVER received must be tendered to the IEP in order to inform it of any defects that were cited so that the IEP may record the DVER and any roadside repairs made, or to inform the IEP of repairs that must be done and signed off on so that the completed DVER may be returned to the enforcement agency.
DVER's may be returned to any DCLI Maintenance manager, supervisor or facility. If it cannot be returned to the facility, a copy can be sent scanned and emailed to:
This must be done within 24 hours of receiving the DVER.
49 CFR 369.9 (d)(1) The driver of any motor vehicle, including a motor vehicle transporting intermodal equipment, who receives an inspection report shall deliver a copy to both the motor carrier operating the vehicle and the intermodal equipment provider upon his/her arrival at the next terminal or facility. If the driver is not scheduled to arrive at a terminal or facility of the motor carrier operating the vehicle or at a facility of the intermodal equipment provider within 24 hours, the driver shall immediately mail, fax, or otherwise transmit the report to the motor carrier and intermodal equipment provider.
DCLI subscribes to the GIER. DOT # does not have to be affixed to the chassis, law enforcement can access the information online or by phone from the GIER.
